Kriszta Vajda, Lead Frontend Architect

About me

I've spent 12 years figuring out how to make frontend teams faster, codebases calmer, and collaboration smoother.

I've been building systems for as long as I can remember - not because someone told me to, but because my brain works that way. Spot the pattern, build the system, clear the path. Even before I called it architecture, I was finding ways to eliminate friction and find the most efficient way.

That instinct has shaped my whole career - from developer to tech lead. Now I build frontend platforms, design systems, and the kind of foundations that let teams focus on the interesting problems instead of reinventing the wheel.

How I Work

Details are the Product

The loading skeleton that reduces perceived wait. The keyboard navigation that just works. The undo that saves you from yourself. I obsess over the details that separate good interfaces from great ones — because users feel the difference even when they can't name it.

Question the Defaults

Best practices expire. I stay curious — evaluating new patterns, challenging assumptions, and adopting what genuinely improves outcomes. Not chasing trends, but not clinging to comfort either. The goal is better, not familiar.

Where Design Meets Engineering

The best design systems aren't just component libraries — they're shared languages. I create the vocabulary that lets designers and engineers speak fluently, reducing friction from concept to production. Collaboration shouldn't require translation.

When I'm not building systems, you'll find me hiking in nature, strategizing over a board game, or spending time with my family.
